Marti Michell Template Set H Large Hexagons Plus

Marti Michell Template Set S
Many quilters have asked for templates to make 6-inch (15,2 cm) block on a 5 x 5 grid. The result was Perfect Patchwork Template Set S.
Most of the 5-patch blocks you can make in Volume 4 with Set M templates you can also make at 6 inches (15,2 cm) (finished) with Set S templates. The instruction booklet that comes with Set S includes those conversions and several new blocks, including some not found in the Farmer's Wife book, which has helped popularize the 6-inch (15,2 cm) block size.
Template Set S and Set M are perfect companion sets! The smallest pieces in Set M are used as the biggest pieces in the 6 inch (15,2 cm) blocks, while the small pieces in Set S provide the opportunity to make many more detailed 12-inch (30,5 cm) blocks. Some people might even call them 10 x 10 blocks.

Cutting exact size pieces from strips is easier, more efficient and more accurate than paper piecing Pineapple blocks!
Cut strips the appropriate width. Then use the Pineapple Ruler to cut the exact size and shape of the graduated pieces. Use the triangle template to cut the center and corner triangles. Sew the pieces together and press as you go.

Marti Michell 1 inch (3 cm) Grandmothers Garden Template
Grandmother's Garden Template Set - 2 pieces to cut 3 shapes. Marti Michell Template Set N 5 Pieces for cutting 6 shapes
Template 78 is a hexagon with a 3/4 (1,9 cm) finished side. 78a measures the 60° equilateral triangle that coordinates with the hexagon. Create 1 inch finished-size sqaure, half-square triangle and quarter-square triangles with templates 79, 80 and 81. The instruction sheet coordinates these pieces with all blocks in Volume 1 of the Encyclopedia of Patchwork Blocks. Template 82 is a 45° diamond with 1 inch sides. Combine it with Templates 79 and 80 to make the cutest 3 5/8 inch (9,2 cm) eight-pointed star and many other blocks in Volume 3.

Marti Michell 60° Kite and Crown Templates
Kite and Crown templates to make Hexagons.
The two pieces also work together for more shapes. As hexagon quilts are more and more popular, quilters appetites for more shapes in the hexagon family must be answered. Happily, both of these shapes also can be used for very nice One Patch scrap quilts. These shapes are also used to make the popular Antique Rose block. Six equilateral triangles are created by connecting opposite corners of a hexagon. In a similar way six kite shapes are created by connecting the center point of opposite flat sides of a hexagon. A Crown is the shape created when 2 kites are joined on one long side. They are 1/3 of a hexagon and can often be used to replace cutting and sewing two kites.
