If you have previously used right-handed scissors with your left hand, there may be a short adjustment period. For best results, keep the shear as straight as possible while cutting. Move the handles only in the open-and-close motion and avoid applying sideways pressure, as this can force the blades apart and cause the fabric to fold rather than cut.
